TelegramFXBacktest is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
TelegramFXBacktest is a web application that allows users to backtest Forex trading signals published in Telegram channels against historical price data. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to TelegramFXBacktest and its operators.
We collect the following categories of data: (1) Account data — your email address and name when you register. (2) Telegram session data — a read-only Telegram session token scoped to the channels you select; we do not store message content beyond what is needed to parse signals for your backtest. (3) Backtest configuration — parameters you set such as lot size, date range, and starting balance. (4) Usage data — pages visited, features used, and error logs, collected to improve the service. (5) Payment data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
We use your data to: provide and operate the backtesting service; authenticate your account and maintain your session; process payments and manage your subscription; send transactional emails such as account confirmations and billing receipts; improve the service through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics; and respond to support requests.
When you connect your Telegram account, we request read-only access limited to the specific channels you select. We do not read private conversations, direct messages, or any channel you have not explicitly chosen. We do not post messages, join channels, or take any action on your behalf. Your Telegram session token is encrypted at rest. You can revoke our access at any time from Telegram Settings → Privacy and Security → Active Sessions.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: (1) Infrastructure providers (AWS) who host the application under strict data processing agreements. (2) Payment processors who handle subscription billing. (3) Analytics services that receive anonymised, aggregated usage data only. We do not share your email address, Telegram session, or backtest data with any third party for marketing purposes.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Backtest results are stored for 90 days after the last run, after which they are automatically deleted. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records, which are kept for 7 years).
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If we add optional analytics cookies in the future, we will request your consent before setting them.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
